A routine systems outage is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.

 

The following systems will be unavailable during the outage: 

Nov. 26-27, 2025

A routine systems outage is scheduled from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 to 6 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27.

Nov. 4-5, 2025

A routine systems outage is scheduled from 5 p.m. on November 4 to 6 a.m. on November 5, to implement several routine updates to CRM and Client Gateway.

Client Gateway Expansion

Legal Aid Alberta continues to implement routine system updates to ensure a smoother, more user-friendly experience across its applications. 

Client Gateway Expansion

This June, clients can apply for additional areas of law including family, child welfare, independent counsel and immigration. 

LAA Portal

We’re starting the transition to a new unified platform that combines the Lawyer Portal, DC Portal and Client Gateway into a single, streamlined hub, The LAA Portal.

A refresher and walkthrough of using the simplified and expanded Client Gateway to help Albertans apply for LAA. 

This training is for criminal roster lawyers who already have access to Client Gateway. Training for family and immigration roster lawyers who do not yet have access will be offered at a later date.
