Cultural Competency Workshop

Originally announced as part of our quality standards for Siksika Nation, we’re excited to announce two additional sessions of our virtual Cultural Competency Workshop are now scheduled that are also open to all roster lawyers.

 

  • Monday, June 29, 2:30 – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 7, 2:30 – 4 p.m.

 

The workshop explores:

  • Historical and contemporary contexts that shape Indigenous Peoples’ experiences with the justice system
  • How LAA’s Indigenous Engagement Framework guides respectful, culturally informed engagement in our work

 

Whether you are currently attending Indigenous courts or considering expanding your practice, this workshop provides valuable context and practical insight.
