April 28, 2023 – Effective Monday, May 1, documents associated to a clients’ family matter will be emailed directly to the appointed lawyer by a member of the Administrative Support Team within the Contact Centre. The documents will be sent from [email protected] on the next business day from issuance of the certificate.
Why are we doing this?
When a lawyer accepts a clients’ family matter, they will most likely require the documents that the client has provided to LAA during the application process including orders, financial information, etc. Having the Contact Centre provide those documents to the lawyer directly will go a long way in ensuring exceptional client service — reducing client frustration should they have to provide documents twice and, ultimately, expediting review and preparation of the file by the lawyer.
