Job Description

 

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, some of the key responsibilities include:

 

  • Identify challenges, gaps, risks and opportunities of improvement in the current business delivery model, including, document review, and policy analysis in client services and legal services.
  • Consult with operational business units throughout the organization in the development of and implementation of process changes, initiatives, and projects, including business analysts, change management, communications and organization support services.
  • Facilitate focus groups, workshops, and consultation as methods of assessment and strategic development.
  • When delegated, be the primary partner in development and implementation of operational initiatives including operational plans, impact analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage the monitoring of organization risk mitigation and identification in alignment with annual risk mitigation plan.
  • Understand data collection and applications used for tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Participate in formal projects as a representative of Operations for LAA, identifying project risks and issues, and ensure projects support strategic goals.
  • Regularly report trends, monthly stats, and emerging concerns to Manager, and complete ad hoc analysis and/or report generation as requested.

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of related experience with functions/business operations or legal service delivery.
  • Experience in Tariff, invoicing and Audit and Compliance considered an asset
  • Experience in cross functional committees, task forces or a group is considered an asset.
  • Previous coaching, and/or leadership experience is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of legal service delivery or supporting clients who have been charged with an offense.
  • Basic knowledge of strategic planning or strategic information management is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and to discuss technical issues with non-technical clients.
  • Excellent analytical, logic, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as sound business judgement.
  • Ability to work in complex and highly dynamic project environment, responsible for multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.
  • Exercise sound judgment while maintaining organization – wide perspective.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Interpret and apply organizational operations, policies, legislation and regulations in the development of new business processes and solutions.
