Reporting to the Manager, LSC Intra – Day Operations, the Administrative Support II is responsible for various administrative and clerical duties in support of Legal Aid Alberta Client Services. The work environment is within a Contact Centre.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for weekly mobile and in person banking, receiving and posting mail in cheques
Answering clients call on the Credit Card Payment Line
Analysis and distributes both electronic and hard copy correspondences daily, and picks up mail for all business units
Performing data entry, scanning and uploading of client documents
Creating lists and maintaining office and lunchroom supplies and ordering various supplies with outside vendors
Managing invoicing for supplies and receivables
May be required to lift up to 25 LBS packages
Other duties as assigned to assist with client processing, including assisting other business units
Education & Experience:
1 -2 years office experience preferably in a law related environment
A certificate or diploma in Administration is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered
Experience with cash handling, banking and/or accounts receivable is an asset
Must have strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Adobe PRO
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent organization, conflict resolution, communication and problem-solving skills are required
The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision and use own initiative
Ability to manage own time and revolve prioritizations as needs change
Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to exercise good judgement in recognizing scope of authority
Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
You must be able to meet security clearance for Department of Justice databases (e.g. JOIN)
