A number of NGOs work internationally to report on human rights abuses and to advocate for change including:
- Amnesty International;
- Human Rights Watch; and
- the International Association of Official Human Rights Agencies;
Many NGOs have a voice within the UN and many have influence within governments. NGOs vary in their size, focus, and reputation. One may be able to help you or you may want to get involved in their work. Before you ask for help or get involved you should do your research about the organization.
