Legal Aid Alberta does not collect personal information through its website. Information that is essential to the security, operation and evaluation of this site will be collected by the web server.

Information about the identity of a website user will be collected if the personal information is provided voluntarily. Cases where this would occur are:

  • If a user sends a comment by e-mail to the webmaster. To send an e-mail to the webmaster, a valid e-mail address, name and contact information are required.
  • Where a lawyer provides their username and password to access the Lawyer-only portion of the Legal Aid site.

The personal information collected is used only to manage and respond to the message and is collected pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Act. Information is not shared except to persons who will process the request.
